This trip allowed me to meet new inspiring people, who has done nice adventures around the world.
Initially about 20 people departed from Irkutsk and had a ride 🚐 together. The group got splitted in 3 huts 🛖🛖🛖. Our group of 5, a local guide and a cooker shared for a hut for 7 days and everyday’s evening will be an opportunity to know more about the other passionates of snow, and the locals, the guides and the cooker.
When we got back after the seven days all the people from the 3 groups we had a dinner in Irkutsk, where we closed 🎉 a great week.
The days were challenging, and since there are other groups from the other huts, the set up was pretty good bailout half-day if you would not feel like. Days included 2-3 runs with 1200-1500m elevation. Temperatures were fairly ok, since is start of the season and still was possible to spend all they out without need to come back to warm up 🔥. However good gear is recommended.
Everyday tours where adjusted to the conditions and given the amount of snow those gained meters sometimes felt very hard work.
Your mind is in full discovery of a new place, everyday you set in different direction, so you keep just enjoying the views, feeling the effort and having a great fun with a nice ride down 🏂.
Evenings were relaxing, you could go to the sauna and combine with cold bath (in a river next to), read a book on the upper floor where we had our sleeping bags, make a nap, or simply socialize with the people.
People in my group were not to stick to the phone 📱, so it was good to disconnect from it.
