I did this race as a pair 👥 and with the aim of enjoying as much as possible the course and finishing within time.

The race starts when the deadens are informed since we need to define our own route. We decided for combining, asphalt, some gravel and some short hike a bike to make the route diverse. Checkpoints 📍  are all accessible by asphalt so it was up to us to be creative and introduce more adventure on it.

Checkpoints

We all started from deadendsandcake's headquarters 🏡 and head to Gallusplatz downtown St. Gallen, where we did several turns 🔄 to the tree 🌳 and then everyone head to their route.

The day was sunny ☀️ but we expected rain 🌧 later on, indeed it looked pretty bad. In the first kms to Tösstal we crossed riders several times until we finally head to our "single trail" shortcut.

Terrain was wet 💦, so single trails were a bit tricky but finally we made it to Tösstal - Dägelsberg Wiesli, our first stop cake 🧁. Sun 🌤 was out so we were happy that the weather forecast was wrong amd rain seemed to come later.
